The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hosting a virtual workshop, Pregnancy and Maternal Conditions that Increase Risk of Morbidity and Mortality, to discuss the clinical causes of maternal morbidity and mortality and to develop a research agenda targeted at its clinical causes.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hosting a virtual workshop, Pregnancy and Maternal Conditions that Increase Risk of Morbidity and Mortality, to discuss the clinical causes of maternal morbidity and mortality and to develop a research agenda targeted at its clinical causes.

This two-day workshop will take place May 19-20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. A panel of experts will participate in the discussion and address reasons for death, what can be done to identify patients at risk, and explore the interventions required to reduce the current rates of maternal morbidity and mortality.
