In 1972, John T. Queenan, MD founded Contemporary OB/GYN®, where he served as editor-in-chief for 28 years.
When asked about its genesis, Queenan says, "I was Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Louisville. My basic idea was to identify clinical subjects that were most important in usual practice and to have the information presented by a leading expert in a clear, concise, and practical way."
Queenan is currently Professor and Chair Emeritus of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Contemporary OB/GYN® is a monthly publication dedicated to translating science into sound clinical practice for its audience of more than 45,000 obstetricians and gynecologists.
Contemporary OB/GYN® publishes articles that emphasize clinical utility and practical application. In print, digitally, or online, our content reflects the critical thinking of top-tier physician-authors with information that can be applied immediately from page to practice.
