Enhanced recovery pathways (ERP) are rapidly gaining acceptance and use in gynecologic surgery. These handouts from the ERAS Society provide the physician and patient with valuable information for both pre- and post-operative care. For more information, Amy N. Brown, MD and Bruce S. Kahn, MD have written about incorporating enhanced recovery pathways into surgical practice.

The toolkit includes physician office instructions, an ERAS surgery list, preoperative and postoperative orders, information on the rationale for ERAS and a clinical pathway guideline.

This brochure includes steps for patient preparation before surgery and explains what to expect postoperatively.
