Four prominent infertility centers are profiled.
This installment of Clinical Centers of Excellence series features programs offering comprehensive infertility testing, diagnosis, and treatment complemented by participation in evolving infertility and genetic research arenas.
The infertility centers were chosen based on a survey of Contemporary OB/GYN readers, and each center was asked to provide patient statistics, research protocols and funding information, areas of concentration, and information on other pertinent services they offer. (For a more detailed list of the criteria used to select centers of excellence, see the Web version of this article.) These profiles provide physicians with a valuable tool when considering where to refer patients, whether for diagnostics, surgery, advanced embryo implantation, egg and embryo preservation, or ongoing management of disorders known to cause infertility.
Delivery success rates for infertility programs are published on the Web sites for the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and the CDC.
